Xubuntu - Xine playback issues

when trying to listen to my favorite online music site ReignRadio, I kept getting an error that it could demux sc7.reignradio.com... (Sorry, y'all! I can't find the logs for the exact error :( )

The following link gave me the fix:

torrents - making the change

I have finally made the switch to torrents instead of ISOs... It has taken some time, but I now see that the downloads speeds are usually better when downloading a popular distro image, such as Ubuntu, or Debian.

I like bittornado-gui for simplicity...

xubuntu feisty - xfburn ISO issues

xfburn wouldn't burn an ISO image for me with the following error in /var/log/messages:

cdrom: This disc doesn't have any tracks I recognize!

Downgrading xfburn fixes the issue per:

fluxbox - group Eterm windows

I had a hard time getting Eterms with random themes to group together in fluxbox. (This was using the .fluxbox/groups file). Then I found the documentation that told me to use the .fluxbox/apps file. Here is the apps configuration that I use:

[group]
[app] (Eterm 0.9.4)
[Close] {yes}
[end]
[group]
[app] (Eterm)
[Close] {yes}
[end]

Eterm - set TERM environment variable

Debian's Eterm sets TERM to Eterm, but if you are working on some older shells that don't handle either Eterm or rxvt, you can set the TERM variable to xterm, a la:

Eterm --term-name xterm

Randomize Eterm themes

Place this action in your .Eterm/themes/user.cfg to randomize your themes:

begin actions
bind ctrl alt 0x006e to script 'spawn(Eterm -t %random(`ls /home/speeves/.Eterm/themes/`))'
end actions

This takes my ctrl alt n, (which spawns a new window), and then applies a random theme from ~/.Eterm/themes/. Very cool!
